Urban Sweat Ritual

Urban Sweat Ritual was born out of having a performance space which was impossibly hot in the summer. I created a living wall of moss, and three walls of mud soaked burlap. In the center was an alter the dancers manipulated and became part of. It was a mediation infused with the dancer’s and my intentions and attention. The second half of the piece invited the audience to step into the alter and be witnessed.
